[wonders what that would do to a bear if properly applied...]

Actually it is a Romanian PSL-54. Their variant of the Dragonov Sniper Rifle. I just took off the original scope and put on the new one.

The compliment is appreciated!!

It would seem that only you would know what a 7.62x54 round would do to a bear.

IIRC, the ballistics on the 7.62x54R are pretty close to the 30-06 round. so in theory, it would seem that it could be an effective sniper rifle.

All that I can say is that I hit what ever I aim at. Regardless of how she looks, a person can shoot it all day long, or until they run out of ammo.

If you can get your hands on one, do it.

Romanian Designated Marksman rifle. They didn't want to go to all of teh expensive assembly and fitting that a Dragunove goes through, or to deal witht eh intermediate piston system. So they beefed up teh AK fixed piston design. They wanted better target ID, and barrier penetration out to 600 and 800 meters on the Squad level.

That one looks pretty sweet. Do they make a lower mount to get the scope closer to the bore line? How is the cheek weld?

That's pretty cool! I love the look of the Draganuv variant rifles. But I do like that soviet scope.

I really like it.
The scope seems high.
