I love my Norinco. it has been incredibly reliable for 20 years plus now. BTW I think these guys have your bayonet that you must have lost. Of course it could be you lost it somewhere else where it might take less reward money to get it back.

You'll enjoy it. I bought mine in 1992 for $129 and have loved it ever since!

Congratulations. IMO, your Norinco is the best SKS available today. Mine is over 20 years old, and has several thousand rounds through it without a single hiccup.

Betcha dollars to donuts that some knucklehead previous owner removed the bayo in misguided fear or panic or both back in the 90's.

Those of us around in the 80's can recall when a CHICOM SKS could be had - with an included case of stripper-clipped steel-core - for about a buck and a quarter.
And there were MILLIONS and BAJILLIONS of CHICOM SKS sold back then with bayos attached. It is this very reason that the SKS gets little/no respect as the solid rifle that it acually is.

We got a Norinco SKS to present our son for Christmas and it was a beauty ! He was well pleased and fired it and said it was great. Picked it up at a Pawn Shop for a reasonable cost,
$375 and thought that was great since all firearms seemed to be priced following the School massacre in CN . Oh, he is old enough, a Veteran of the Iraq War, and plenty savvy about guns.

Good price, cuate. I picked mine up before Christmas for $366 and got a sling, box of ammo and the 10 round box for it. I felt I fared pretty well. Now it just needs to warm up a little so I can get out and make it go bang!

Again;
Remember to triple-clean those SKS guns.. CHICOMs were loaded with cosmo that could easily cause a slam-fire if the firing pin got hung up in gunk inside the bolt.
Yugos can have bad gas-cutoff valves due to the corrosive ammo they used in their non-chrome-lined guns.

Have fun, these are awesome rifles.
