decided to pick this one up after i saw it in a pawn shop, looks like new with the bayo and cleaning kit in the stock and all matching numbers, gotta find me a cleaning rod tho but thats no biggie, only shot it a few times so far just to make sure it works but shot fine. Will put it thru the paces tomorrow at the range.

gotta say she,s pretty clean. i also have a norinco and its like new when i was ready to by one i looked at hundreds of sks s and most where well used even under all the cosmoline or what ever they smear on them but ever once in while you find a very clean little used one. That was 15 years and at least 10000 rounds ago other than crappy amo sometimes it still functions great. so keep it clean it shoot the hell out of it |

ChiCom SKS's are hard to beat. You found one in good condition with the bayo. I would not let it go. |

Yup, you got yourself a real good deal on a nice Norinco Type 56! This, probably, won't break your heart; but, around here, I've seen them go for as much as $450.00. Nice going!
(Here's your cleaning rod; and, I got 'a tell you: If it were mine, I wouldn't sell it. Cheap to shoot, lots of states will let you hunt with it, and it makes a very decent tac rifle. The Chinese Type 56 isn't quite as strong as the Yugo 59/66; but, most shooters seem to prefer them. I know I do.)

I bought a norinco brand new in 1992 and it has been my favorite rifle so far. I had to change out the stock for a butler creek (the original one just seemed too short), but I still have the original in the attic. I might've lost my bayonet, though.
Keep the norinco. It is a GREAT rifle! |
