norinco hunter trigger slap
 

I bought a norinco hunter recently. I liked the fact that it has a milled reciever and the trigger, although oddly configured, was smooth as silk and fairly light. When I took it to the range and shot it, the trigger slaps back on your trigger finger. Its not too bad for the first 10 rounds or so, but it gets old real quick. I assume that someone worked on the trigger because I've never felt a trigger as smooth on an ak, but it sure does bite you on the rebound. Any suggestions?

Did that fix on my Sar-1 a few years back and it totally eliminated the trigger slap. Thanks for posting ithttp://i255.photobucket.com/albums/h.../thumbs_up.gif

You are welcome, I try to keep the links ready for re-post that I found handy back when I was building full time.
I used this fix for the first time on my first WASR 10 it had slap so bad it would draw blood.:eek:

Does the Norinco hunter have the same problems with the disconnector as the century romanians? I had the thing apart and I don't remember it looking like the "crappy century" one. The hunter was built for the civilian market. I don't think it was any kind of conversion.

I'm not familiar with the Norinco's FCG but you could pull it apart to see if the back of the disconnector is coming in contact with the back of the trigger causing the slap.
