I can't see why you need the paracord on your rifle.

It's where your cheek rests when you're aiming. It's a little nicer than the steel stock.

Do you get the 'Pap Slap'? Or does the cheek weld work different on the unders?

Why use para cord when the Samson cheek rest gives you an exc. cheek weld? Fitting it onto the thicker Yugo's metal stock is necessary. Firing this pre ban Mitchell Yugo M70 with the Russian rubber recoil pad and Ukrainian Russian FED 1.5-4.5 scope feels like heaven and is a tack driver. It's as comfortable as using a wood stock. The 20rd Chicom type 63 mag with the bolt hold open is exc. when used during bench shooting.

If you must, on a folder.

The slap is from the unusually tall wood buttstock configuration on the PAP. Why they make it like no other AK, I don't know, but it comes with a factory installed side monorail and makes a better scope platform than most AK's, because of a better cheek weld.

The folder will not have that problem. Folders weren't meant to support the shooter's cheek at all.
