Default New AK Variant Owner

Me, my dad, my step-grandfather, and my uncle all went to the NRA Meeting in Indianapolis this past weekend, and it was great for several reasons. Mainly because because my dad, my uncle, and my step-grandfather all won on the Wall of Guns. They all won on our first ticket as well. Me and my dad spent an hour trying to decide what to pick. It came down to a Ruger GP100 in .357 and a Century Centurion sporter model C39. After lots of reading mixed reviews and watching lots of YouTube videos, I've come to the conclusion that it's a pretty good rifle, and a pretty good choice IMO. Unfortunately milled receiver AK wood furniture is expensive and hard to come by, the "classic" model had a beautiful Timbersmith set. imageuploadedbyfirearms-talk1398818255.244762.jpg
I apologize for the crude pictures.
Here's the one we chose, what are y'all's opinion? imageuploadedbyfirearms-talk1398818394.617151.jpgAll feedback and advice is appreciated! I know the basics of the AK, field stripping, maintenance, care, ect. What else should I know? Thanks!
B

I'm new to AKs myself so I can't give much advice; however, I bought the Centurian 39 about 3 months ago and really like it. Enjoy!

Great. Thanks! I can't wait until it comes in. I've wanted an AK for a long time now.

What type of magazines will your C39 come with? Mine came with standard metal magazines although it was suppose to come with Tapco mags. The metal mags did not work well so I picked up a few Tapco mags. With Tapco mags it has never failed.

I think 2 Tapco 30 rounders. So the metal mags don't work well in the C39?

The 2 metal mags mine came with did not work well, but both of the metal mags appeared to have dents in them. A friend of mine thought the dents were interfering with the spring inside the mag being able to load the chamber...IDK. Since using Tapco mags it's been flawless.
