My midlife crisis...
I can't afford a corvette so I bought a gun.
My friends make fun of me about it, "Why the hell did you buy an AK?"
Go big or go home.... is the motto of someone nearly middle aged suffering from an early midlife crisis.
Like I said I have the capability of the big boy toys... but trying to learn from ironsight first before I get into that ball of wax.

Put 120 rounds through her already flawlessly. Couple of jams which were growing pains on my part. Buddy helped me correct that issue easily.
I really need to work on my breathing though and my stance.
The sights are rediculously off... Buddy says looks like it's zero'd for 100m. So at 25 yards I literally have to aim about 2 feet in front/below a target sitting on the ground... lol... it's that far off.
To clarify.... that's 2 feet from the top of the barrel sight not the rear sight.
One thing my buddy said was good is that both rear and barrel sights are adjustable... He said most AK barrel sights are not adjustable unless specifically built to be.

Nice midlife crisis if you ask me and it's much cheaper than a vette!

So after shooting, my buddy wanted to trade his Glock 22 (which I also shot; first time with a pistol too) for my AK.
And I'll be the first to admit my accuracy sucks with a pistol.
But after my buddy explained about my rifle sights.... I was firing much more accurately within I'd say 6 inches spread considering we didn't have an actual target to shoot that is a guess.
We were shooting milk jugs at ~25 yards.
lol

Looks like one of the new M10 AKs. Pretty reasonable price for what you get on them.
OP, I'd dump that topcover, they never seem to hold zero with optics. If you want to mount rear optics, a good side rail mount, or a Texas Weapon Systems mount are the way to go. Just a heads up

$750 for the gun itself.
It didn't come with the foward grip my military buddy gave it to me for free
The top cover is included in that price though.

I wondered about that... It's an NCstar top cover rail... but doesn't look very "secured"
As in I can see the play it has which would throw 0 off.
Well I want a reflex sight with a 5x STS tactical mag.
I don't think side rails can house those can they?
