I think it looks as good as a dressed up AK can look.

For an inexpensive red dot I like the Bushnell TRS25 or the Primary Arms microdot. Or you could do it right and get the Aimpoint T1 or H1 for a few hundred more.

I understand that with the recoil of an AK the red-dot scope eventually disappears. After researching for one quite a bit I came across a common grievance. And that is the unreliability of the red-dot scope, unless, of course, you're willing to drop over four or five hundred dollars for one. Then the one to go with would be Aimpoint. I finally settle for a rifle scope on mine going with I know best --- how to pick off a small target over 200 yards in a single shot. Other than that the AK would best be served as a street-sweeper in a shtf scenario.

You're gonna hate it, might as well give it to me so I can handle it.
That is one nice gun.

I have friends who have run Primary Arms Red dots on Ultimak railed gas tubes, with no trouble for over two years. But yes, teh Aimpoint is the cream of the crop.
