Default Mp5 HK 94 Handguard on AK

I saw an AK with an Mp5/HK 94 Handguard. It looks pretty cool, but I'm not sure how they got it to stay in place. I suppose that they put some sort of tab on the back, so that it could slide into the receiver. What do you guys think? I'd like to do this myself.

Looks comfortable and sleek.

I'd say it's a definite win... that's if you can find a way to secure it.

Nice pics though, good post.

Thanks. I've got to come up with a good way to do it.

Simply epoxy an appropriate sized plug in the back. To secure the front push pin it appears they simply took a small round file and filed a notch in the barrel that allows the push pin to lock in place.

Thanks! I'll have to find the right object to use as a plug.
