light barrel prone to warping?

are standard ak 47 barrels prone to warping?
anywhere for wasr's to arsenals, etc...
if so,,,where can one buy heavy barrels for an ak?
how do you guys prevent warping?
what can be done

Unless you run the barrel over, or hit it with a 10 pound hammer repeatedly, it's not going to warp. I've dumped 600 rounds and had the handguards on fire, the barrel was fine after it cooled down, no warping, and it's US made.

Heavy barrels are available, but regular barrels work just fine, no warping that I am aware of.

ok, i thought because of the thin barrel, warping would be more possible...
would the barrel on a sks be thicker than a ak barrel?

SKS and AK barrels have different diameters and contours, I don't know the specs off the top of my head.

Neither is prone to warping, and both made out of very rigid material.

You can mate a heavy barrel to an AK, but it takes some time and fitting unless you're building with RPK parts.
