I am impressed. I considered this myself, but figured i would end up with a catawampus scope & a severely scuffed-up SKS. If i do scope again, it will be this way.

Did you consider their "molot" rail setup? It doesn't look as much like a military issue setup, but it lowers the scope closer to the barrel.
