Just ran my ak for the first time
Last week I bought a century arms wasr. Ran 100 rounds at 50 yards. Once I got it sighted it it shot pretty well. Only had one misfeed. Pretty happy with it. Im sure my wallet is about to lighten lol

muscledom,
Sounds great! Did you have the bolt lubed properly regarding a single malfunction. They as well as ARs should have the bolt carrier group having enough lube on them to look a little wet! If it was new an fairly dry that would explain the slight hiccup! Congrats! Sounds like you have a fine weapon there! Enjoy!

Yea I sprayed everything down with the lube. I picked up some ammo, being new to this ****, I didn't realize until I got home that its steel cased. I think I ran brass today. Is steel ok to run through this?

AKs were designed to run steel, not brass.
Also Shaker, a big reason to use lube is not just reliability, metal to metal contact when dry will cause premature wear.

Yea yea yea. That's what she said .
I understand but just saying you can run an ak all day long for as long as you live with no lube and it will still run.
Yes i lube my personal ak's but I was just saying its not necessary these are not ar15's.
