Default How hard is it to find 7.62x39 ammo nowadays?

I always hear people complaining about how hard it is to find common rounds like .223 and .22lr. What about a slightly less common Ruskie round?

You are talking about the three most popular rounds in the US. Now before everyone jumps on me we are not talking about 12 gauge.

All ammo has been hard to find. If you want to go to Gunbroker.com I am sure you will find some overpriced 7.62 x 39 or are you looking for 7.62 x 54?

Jim

Depends on area. Folks near me seem to be mostly AR fans. I've still seen 7.62x39 on the shelves at normal prices, but with the same 2 box limits.

Not hard here at all. Its all over the place for around .20 some odd cents a round. I only see more 308 left on the shelf than 7.62. NOBODY is buying 308 now days. Of course you can always go online.

Try GUNBOT.NET or AMMOSEEK.COM .
.
I've bought through both of them several time with no problems.

If it's 7.62x39 you're interested in then there are online sites that sell them. One of the sites is AmmunitionStore.com

Gunbot.net has a few websites listed at 30 cents a round.

Hot fudge, based on your avatar...you live our have lived in WV. If so, 7.62x39 had been one of the easier to find, at least in NC WV......and if you do live in WV...stop by the state forum....would love to see more activity there.

Ammo is not hard to find, it is hard to afford.
Try looking here for the 7.62x39mm rounds.
