Default HELP! Zastava Yugo M70 AK

I just picked up my Zastava Pap M70 AK yesterday.. I haven't fired it yet but I dry fired and racked some rounds through it... It looks like the feeding ramp isn't low enough to clear the bullet.. I used metal mags and a cheap Tapco same results failure to feed.. Should I attempt to dremmel the ramp myself or deal with sending it back to Century Arms?

Try to post a couple of pics for the people more familiar with M70 innards.

Is it HP or SP ammo, or are you feeding it FMJ?

Some of the HP and Softpoint rounds will not feed right in some rifles.

Keep the dremel away from the gun until you try shooting it and have someone with AK experience look at it.

You might help the next guy with some pics or fix explanation.

Fixed the problem by bending the magazine lip slightly.. Still need to test fire but racking rounds through fine now.. Wish me luck!

Also be sure that when you rack the rounds in that you pull the charging handle to the rear and let go. Do not ride the charging handle forward. If you try to " baby" the rounds in to the chamber you can have the type of problems you experienced.

Also, that looks like a kind of cheap aftermarket mag which could contribute to your problem.

The Yugo m70 pap rifles where originally single stack magazine fed rifles then modified to accept double stack mags once imported to the us maybe you got a bad one?

The mags were some metal surplus mags from the gun show.. No stamping on them so I don't know where they're from.. I heard the Yugo mags fit the best and circle 10 are good also.. One good thing is there is no mag wobble but the mags fit in there a little tighter then I like you have to kinda work them in.
