If it's like my WASR it does. I bought it five years ago and it was an older model affected by the AWB, so it had a muzzle cap welded on. I couldn't see threads but once I cut through the weld, the cap unscrewed exposing the threads. From there it was easy to screw on a standard muzzle device.

The biggest issue with assembling an AR isn't so much getting the parts together right - it's getting the right parts together. You'll remember the quality of a gun long after you forget how much you paid for it.

The Saigas seem to be hit or miss when it comes to threaded barrels. Some come with the barrels threaded and some don't.

synical, have you looked at Heart of Dixie? They had four a couple of weeks ago when I was looking for one. I bought one at a Columbus, GA gun show for $470. Try the gun show in Montgomery this weekend.

They also had some at Walter Craig Sportsman Headquarters on Eastern Blvd in Montgomery last week.

Would be about a 2 to 2.5 hour drive for you but Hoover Tactical on Hwy 31 in B'ham always has a couple.
Also, Birmingham Wholesale Pistol (in Trussville) also should have one or two as well.

I ordered mine online from Classic Arms. Had it shipped to BWP in Trussville.

okdonk, your AK looks awesome. What stock is that in the picture? And did it require an adapter to mount?
