Default Dumb AK question

I just got my first AK and found a cylindrical shaped item in the box and am too dumb to figure out what it is. Can someone help? It's an OPAP. ImageUploadedByFirearms Talk1408671777.205482.jpg

That is the cleaning kit. Unscrew the top and you will find brushes and scrapers inside.

Don't use it. It is very primitive, basically a token of authenticity. Close it back and save for possible resale.

Mud, snow and rain will get in your barrel and action as well as outside, when your out, active and shooting it, and handy after shooting, which of course will dirty it too, so the cleaning rod and that tool pack are handy when needed.

Cleaning your gun and keeping it clean is always the top priority, ask any former service member, no matter the weapon.

It takes no extra space and store in the butstocks trap on the butplate.
