So the availability of AKs is constantly changing. The things that change are 1.)
country of origin This is based upon what parts kit folks and corporations can get a hold of to build a gun with. 2.)
Caliber. This is usually based on the time peroid from which the parts kits came from. '60-'70 = 7.62 x 39, '70-'80 = 5.45 x 39 Mostly. 3.)
Maker. This one is self explainatory.
I've noticed several spots that advertise Russian AK-47s ? ??
Is this strange to anyone else? I haven't seen a true Russian AK for sale at an establishment since I've been AKing, over 10 years. There's always been clones, but the crrent ones advertise Russian receivers even???
This is way cool and I'm gonna have one eventually, but I've also noticed a strong
decline in prices for parts kits for AMD-65s/variants and their receivers/barrels are cheap too. We're talking an entire gun for under $400, for a Hungarian? That's good.
All the while Romanian types continue to rise.
Anyone care to share?
