In 1977 the quickest american made vehicle was the dodge little red express truck. Vette was not as fast. But I think the vette might have been hovering around 170 hp.. Not very hot by todays standards. Sorry random thoughts.

That was kinda my point. That and the truck would be easier to work on (field strip).

My nissan sentra has more than 170hp.
