You can find alot of YouTube videos in regards to what you should look for when buying a Romanian wasr10. I have one I love it . You can buy a parts kit for about 250 online, you will never see ak rifles for 80 bucks again in the us. I have worked on my ak for fun and necessity quite a bit so if you'd like ask me anything Id love to help

Do you mean to imply that in 2008 you could still buy $80.00 AKs?

Not sure what that meant either, but I was referring to the early to mid nineties when those prices were the norm for AK's and SKS's. Too bad that's no more...

My question is why the poster implied that it is Obama's fault for the increase in the prices of these guns from $79.95 to $400.00.

I bought my last $79.00 SKS in the mid 1990s. I am thinking the J&G price for AKs in 2008 was around $350.00, but that is going by memory.

The only negative effect, as far as firearms are concened, that I have seen, since Obama's election to the present, is the nation-wide shortage of ammo, that came about because of the fear of the hoarders, and the lingering price hike caused by the same.

There are plenty of reason to bash the president, but, I can't complain about the government's trend, on gun issues, for the last three years, which overall, has been positive for gun owners. I don't give him credit for the improvements, but they happened on his watch.

Nice choice on going with Saiga. Do you plan on getting it converted to a typical AK configuration or are you just gonna stick with the sporter look?

Def gonna start adding pieces to it bit by bit, first starting with a Tapco stock that does not require moving the FCG forward. I have no intention on drilling and tapping out stuff to add a stock that requires moving that forward, I for one do not have the time for all that and my lack of confidence and patience. Plus money us another factor...

My experience from Century has been so so. The C93 I bought shoots well, but the magazine doesn't like to stay seated. The refinish was kind of crappy as well. Other the other end of the spectrum, my Tantal was excellent. Everything works like it is supposed to and it doesn't look like a third world reject rifle.

No major problems with any of my five Century firearms either and one is a WASR-10/63. I got more than my money's worth with each one. Century isn't perfect but you'll get no complaints from me.
