Ok, so I have decided to forgo my interest in the gas piston AR to do a Saiga conversion. I found this rifle and it appears to be half way converted already and I feel that this is something that I can handle. If anyone has any experience with the Saiga IZ340 please let me know. Here is the rifle I plan to use. I think for $469 its a good deal. AK74 Rifle Russian Saiga IZ 340

My 16" 7.62x39 SAIGA is easiliy the most accurate 7.62x39 gun I own. Like shooting guided missiles.
I left mine bone-stock as I like the rifle-like/SKS-like feel of it, but with the convenience of mags.
IMHO I think you made a good choice, I did the same thing with the Saiga 12 and love it. Carolina shooters supply has just about the best deal going on the conversion kits. Everything you need including the drill and tap u will need for the bullet guide. If you run into any issues, check out the you tube vids that are available. They will be a great help.
Enjoy!!!
