I did a full conversion on my saiga 7.62x39. I loved every minute of it. It was just as easy as all the videos made it look. As long as you can use a power tool and a file, and follow directions, you can do it.
I can help with questions too, Ill keep coming back to this thread
Good job chevy!!!!!! This was my first gun forum and there wasnt alot of info on the saiga rifle when I needed it. Are you a member or Saiga12 by chance?
Anyways, the saige rifle, in whatever caliber is the best choice for an ak47 IMO. There is some work to be done, but in the end you will be happy you did it yourself, and that it wasnt done by the minimun wage workers at Century Arms, who have about a 50/50 satisfaction rating.
Right now you can get a 7.62x39 saiga 16"bbl from Centerfire Systems, Inc. - Your Home For Ammo, Firearms, Magazines, and Gun Accessories
for 299+. I got mine in feb of this year and I payed 420 all with shipping transfer. There seems to be a surplus now, but it may run out.
So get em, convert em, and youll love it. The conversion info is out there, thats how I did mine.
