First, stop by the intro section so you can get to know us! We're a pretty friendly bunch here, and like to give all our new members a warm welcome.

Second, that's a matter of opinion, and pretty sure to start a good running thread. My opinion, the AK is more fun. But only by a hair, and really only if it's full auto.

Im thinking of an inter ordnance ak47 or spend a little more for an ar 15. But i need to consider keeping the ammo cost down. Any opinions?

You can keep ammo costs down with both by buying surplus ammo. Not too sure on the numbers, but I think they're both pretty cheap on the surplus market.

Now the AR is quite a bit more accurate, but a new shooter may not even be able to notice the difference.

Jon is correct, the AK47 is not real fun, but the AK74 is! Rifles are about the same as a 47 $ wise, but ammo is still dirt cheap. $140.00 per 1080 rounds.
