Default AK Sling recommendation

Looking for a simple sling that i can use not just to carry the rifle but as a shooting support for my AK- ala what they teach at Appleseed events. Any recommendations?

I'd worry more about sling adjustment.

I don't like the Cooper style.

I prefer to wedge my elbow into the sling,

and push my forearm out to create tension

to control recoil when shooting offhand. In order to

do this quickly, you should adjust the sling to the proper

tension beforehand.

I'd try sling types out and choose what you like.

I have a viking tactics sling on my AK,like the quick adjustments. It's got a pull cord that can tighten the rifle snug against your body or loosen it in a very fast manner. It's great for adjusting the tension to support you in different shooting positions in a hurry

I have a tac-sling on a couple of my rifles, I just like the

thick sling itself. Don't really do the "fast adjust" thing.

They are great slings anyway. Good support, nice grip, etc.
