Just got an sks, looking for a bipod any suggestions?
If you want a bipod, my suggestion is get the tapco stock with the bottom rail, then get a bipod that mounts to a rail. I have the fore grip with a spring loaded internal bipod for my tapco stock and AR15.
This is a Norinco SKS that became a survival rifle project. Goals included reliability with any kind of surplus ammo, long term durability and a reasonably low profile appearance. The modifications have all been geared towards this and I'm very happy with the end result. Rifle weighs in at 7 lbs unloaded and shoots quite nicely out to 200 yards.
I find when too much is added onto a rifle it begins to resemble a Swiss army knife. Sometimes less is more and as far as my pre ban Mitchell Arms M70 Yugo is concerned I'd have to say it's total accessory package has reached it's maximum usefulness.
