Me and a friend had that exact discussion a few days ago. There are some similarities but they are 2 different guns.

Modified it after more than 10 yrs with it

First Bone Stock
Then with a Kalinka mount and cheap Red Dot
Next with ATI sidefolder, CAA Grip and cheap handguard with AFG
The handguard is temporary until the Krebs UFM for milled is in stock

If you want a bipod, my suggestion is get the tapco stock with the bottom rail, then get a bipod that mounts to a rail. I have the fore grip with a spring loaded internal bipod for my tapco stock and AR15.

This is a Norinco SKS that became a survival rifle project. Goals included reliability with any kind of surplus ammo, long term durability and a reasonably low profile appearance. The modifications have all been geared towards this and I'm very happy with the end result. Rifle weighs in at 7 lbs unloaded and shoots quite nicely out to 200 yards.

I find when too much is added onto a rifle it begins to resemble a Swiss army knife. Sometimes less is more and as far as my pre ban Mitchell Arms M70 Yugo is concerned I'd have to say it's total accessory package has reached it's maximum usefulness.
