However, the Tapco mags go for $13 to $17 and appear to function fine. If you can find milsurp Galil mags they come in 35 or 50 rounders.
Are you using Tapco AR mags, or Mini 14 mags?

Those are Tapco Galil/Golani mags in the picture. I'm not sure what the difference is between those and a regular AK .223 magazine.

Fixed that first picture so it's no longer upside down. Sorry about the original pic, it was straight from my phone.

A Golani is good enough for me, its 1/4 the price of a IWI Galil

Didn't know that they made mags specifically for the Galil/Golani.

By the way you have one of the coolest guns out there, in my opinion.

Yep. But watch out for rip offs.

Turns out Century Arms is no longer making these, which is a shame.

Definitely get something with a serial # that starts with GLN. Others have had problems. I also found out the stock magazines have trouble with 5.56mm and may have contributed to my one failure. The Tapco mags are highly recommended.

I paid $675 at my local gun range for a used rifle. I see them listed on Gunbroker for $800 to $1000, but it seems like the only real bids I see are usually in the $700 to $800 range. I personally wouldn't pay more than $800 for one.

An imported Galil is going to go for $2,000 to $3,000. For that kind of money I could buy a Tavor and plenty of mags and ammo for it. I love Galil's but that is too much.

I'm not looking for one but if I ever do I'll keep that in mind.
