seems the laws have changed here in GA which allows any center fire cartridge now which was not always so. I think this change is a good thing for the hunting community now if they would just start allowing .22 long rifle rim fire cartridges for deer and turkey. I think Tennessee still has restrictions on certain types of center fire rounds, haven't checked the TN regs lately so they may have amended some of their restrictions too

I think Louisiana is the only state that allows .22 rimfire cartridges to hunt deer with.
maybe Texas too but not real sure.

regardless Federal law restricts the use of
ANY firearm that is capable of full auto discharge and most states the magazine on semi automatic fire arms cannot be capable to hold more than 10 rounds, for shotguns it used to be the gun could not hold more than 3 in the mag tube + 1 in the chamber, this reg may have been amended lately too because since I have became disabled I don't keep up with the hunting laws and regs since I am unable to hunt as often as I used to
most hunters are up on all of their State hunting regulations and laws just stating things that are in general.

I have been unable to find anything on the rifle magazine capacity limit in MS.

Works fine. They don't bind on clothing , smooth transitions to pistol. I have one of our extra wides on my hunting rifle and they have almost a padded feel.

Its a 1895GBL in 45/70

Gotta love that round. Pricey factory ammo at almost $2 per round, I reload it for around 50-60 cents.

Send me one for the VZ58 or an AR. I'll use it in the class at the end of the June. It's the next level/continuation of the fighting from a vehicle class I took earlier this month. I'll put it through the paces and do a write up w/ pics from the class.

Ya that is my favorite round, Ya I reload my own too I like a little hotter load with a 300 GN projectile keeps it a little flatter for longer distance and still hits like a mack truck.

do you use Black powder, pyrodex, triple 7 or are you using smokeless?

I am using 777 it is a little cleaner burning than the Pyrodex and BP

Smokeless, reloader 7 with 405 hardcast CB bullets. I'm not sold on the load or projectile I'm using right now. The bullets in particular only have one small band of lube, but have a fat flat point on them which I like. I need to pick up some 300 grain for jalvina and deer, and so I can get a little longer distance out of it.

I don't mess with blackpowder, never had an interest in it. I think if I was shooting trapdoor or a win 86 that needed lower pressures, blackpowder would have more appeal.
