Thanks, Mandy. Glad you like it.

Actually, I usually make another grip for the front, but you can cup the left hand under the right and it is very stable to shoot. I have built several SKS's with the same style stocks, and own three personally.

You can also add a bipod and can grip the left support.

I love the attention to detail and finish work.............

What wood are you using in those stocks?

Thanks, again!

I use mainly black walnut as in the AK stock, but also cherry, maple, oak, African mahogany, Meranti and Iroko.

I first had a Tapco stock on my dad's 50th b-day present, but i was talking a picture for my step mom and it came forward and fell off the top of my deep freezer. it was about a three foot fall and the plastic where the holes were drilled just snapped into pieces. If it happens to you invest in a Mako Collapsible Buttstock Tube for AK-47/74. The connection is a lot better and more sturdy. Also dropped the rifle with the Mako tube and no damage and the connection stayed tight, well no damage besides the knick it put in the protective casing around the HWS.

Also straighten your neck. Tuck your chin and bring the weapon to your face not the other way around.

Thanks for the advices. I really need more rangetime to get better results.
