The Mac has become part of the family now. I won't alter the gun permanently but I may make a more useable or better fitting stock for myself. I am rather a purist when it comes to milsurps so any alterations will be completely reversable.
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling, which thinks nothing is worth war, is worse. A man who has nothing which he cares more about than his own personal safety is a miserable creature, and has no chance of being free unless he is made free and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself" John Stuart Mill

My grandson shoots my mac 90 more than I do.. Any ammo brand, 7.62X39 will fire through my Mac.. I tellya I will never have a weapon that is more trouble free than Mac 90. You guys make me feel really good.. I only paid $300 form my mac. If you have a chance to pick up one for around $600, you will soon find it was money well spent..
Saiga models some of their guns after the AK47. It is hard to improve perfection..
Question: Will the Mac 90 interchange parts with the AK47 and/or AK74?
They should, I search alot of ak sites and the mak and ak are basicly the same rifle. You should be able to interchange most of the parts. You may have to do some fitting on certain things, but thats true of most aspects of the ak.
