Keep your AR. Get a 7.62 AK if you just have to have an AK.
I will not buy a 47 for the sole purpose it can't handle ranges past 300 meters. And ammo for the 5.45 is more expensive than it was before, but its still hella a lot cheaper than 5.56. And I have 2 ARs and they're not going anywhere. Once obama cuts off imported ammo(if ever) I'm sure us factories will start production (at higher prices). So I'm fairly confident ammo isn't gonna become extinct. And I think I'll stick with the plan of buying a premade arsenal sgl31. That or the tavor, damn I need to find a cheaper hobby at 19 years old

Here is my 47 and 74. Saiga conversion. Easy to do, and so much fun.

Now that I do have an AK in my collection I am going to start buying collectors starting with the M1, etc. I would love to find an M1941 Johnson. I know they are a better concept than function but I just like the idea.

I have the vepr12 I love that gun, so much fun to shoot

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Krebs. Aren't they top tier like Arsenal?

It is often forgotten that the only real AK is select fire. All semiautos are adaptations to various degrees. The closest ones to the original AK are not the best. The AK rifle was never meant to be a sporter or a hunter. The AR on the other hand was both a civilian and military design. As a semiauto it is still the real thing.
