Change the trigger group with the Tapco G2 single stage. They are cheap and inexpensive upgrade for less than $30. My Arsenal had FTE/FTF and burst fire.. then i swapped with Tapco and been working flawless ever since.

That gas tube may be clogged or even the receiver gunked with the stuff so that it slows the recoil. AKs are among the most dependable in the world. I really like the "M" style SKSs about as well. Accurate and take the AK mags.

I just got a shipment of FMJBT ammo and tried it out. I ran a mag through with zero malfunctions. I put the HP ammo in a second mag and it jammed every three or four shots. Always it was the hollow point catching on the lower lip of the chamber. I think I have found my problem.
Now I need to shoot off 500+ rounds of HP and buy a case of FMJ.

What's really wired???? Did you ever get the problem fix? I tend to wonder if you just got a bad firearm not unheard of but kind of rare ....
