I just bought a 30 mag for my ak. When I load it it sticks. Is there a way to break it in, or is it just messed up? Any help would be great. |

What kind of sticking? When you load bullets in it? Sticky putting the mag in the gun? Sticky pulling the mag out? __________________ LONG LIVE THE REPUBLIC!! |

Is it milsurp? If so, you probably wanna take it apart, boil the pieces, rinse with hot water, scrub everything, and light coat of oil. __________________ LONG LIVE THE REPUBLIC!! |

Are you sure it is correct? There are 7.62x39 and 5.45x39 mags. if you shoot 7.62x39 the mag will have a good curve to it. The 5.45 is curved, but not as much. If you remove the follower, it will be stamped. You can ID it from there. If the mag is bakalite, or polymer w/ a 10 or 21 in a circle, it is a Bulgarian AK74 mag. __________________ Freedom is not free. The best of us always leave too soon. |

Look for damage that would stop the follower, I have had a few ComBloc Mags with this problem, it don't take a big dent to do it. |

Another vote for cleaning.
I have at least a dozen Norinco (Chinese) magazines, the best of the best, IMHO, but they all had to be boiled out and cleaned to get the heavy packing grease (cosmoline?) out of them. __________________ Freedom has a special sweetness for those who have defended it that those who haven't will never know. |
