Shootable M-1 Garands sell for more than $600 dollars. Mechanically functional Garands with accurate barrels start at $900 and go up depending on condition. The best deals when in stock is CMP.

I havent even seen a junk Garand for under $600 on the open market for a very , very long time
You can get a very good shooter Garand from CMP for $625 plus shipping. You will also need a club membership $14 at the M1 Collectors Club

Agreed. Well worth the wait and saving up a few more bucks. And order some cheap Greek surplus ammo from CMP while you're at it.
