I know they are made in Brazil, but if they're shipping them to the states wouldn't they put them in English

not always. lots of things that are imported are not put into boxes or packages that are in English.

If it performs as well as my PT740 slim you are going to be a happy camper. I've had my slim for almost a year and I love taking it to the range and everyone of my friends who's fired it is impressed. Taurus did an awesome job on the slim line. Small package, big punch. Post pictures and review.

Here's my 709, just shot it as well. Had to do a few tweeks with the sights but it shoots dead on now

I have a Taurus or 745 so far I love it had some problems but Taurus was incredibly helpfull
