Forgot to ad this in my original post.
I also bought one when they first came out. It had a problem. When fired the hammer would follow the slide back and to fire it you would have to recock the hammer. LGS sent it back to Taurus for repair. It was return fixed in 3 weeks. No problems since then. As above gun is very accutaye and has a great trigger. Well with the $$$.

I bought an unfired 2007 model about 3 months ago. Since have fired Georgia Arms ammo thru it, Federal, and Winchester ball 230gr . No problem with 300 rounds. The finish is a little weak though. I noticed that where the brass ejects and hits the top of the slide the finish is coming off a little, but hey its a shooter not a safe queen. I like the Heiney straight 8 sights as well. Dead on accurate at 15 yds. I know with some more practice I could reach out farther. This is my first 1911, and I plan on getting another soon. I want a Colt, but funds are tight. I recommend the PT1911. Jus my .02
P.S. I added some Rassco Dymond wood walnut grips with thumb relief for the mag. They are beautiful and fit perfect.

Liberals amuse me.
