Default DHS Purchases

Yes the Government and many of its agencies are purchasing millions and millions of rounds. Hollow point ammunition, that cannot not be used by Soldiers, against other Soldiers. At least the Geneva Convention states it cannot be used against military combatants, so why are they stockpiling it like never before? I don't care what the reasons are given for the bare shelves, but the fact that our Government is purchasing so much makes me nervous.

I use the Walmart app I find it works. But u gota be quick. Ppl are usually lined up soon as they open to buy ammo when it's in stock and usually sells out by 10:00. Another thing I found out most Walmart stores aren't keeping the ammo in plain sight. It's outa sight outa mind. I recently found some federal 100 round value packs of .223 in stock at my local Walmart. I got there and the shelves looked bare. So I asked the sales guy if they had .223 he said yeah and opened the cabinet and reached all the way in the back where you couldn't see and got me my ammo. So if it shows in stock and you don't see it on the shelf Ask! Also academy sports get ammo on Mon Wed Fri. So check then and you'll have better luck

The guns and ammo situation seem to be gettin better. I'm seeing more guns and ammo than I have in months past.

This situation is way bigger than most of you can imagine, and it's laughable to blame Walmart. This ammo shortage is not likely to get any better when so many people are confused about what's causing the problem.

Obama and his socialist buddies have created quite a house of mirrors. The scarcity of ammo is happening EVERYWHERE in the U.S.

Think about that for a moment . . . .

and you'll see that our government actually IS buying stockpiles of ammo - just to keep it out of our hands.

Why else would they be ordering things like 28 gauge, .22 Rimfire, 30-06, 44 Magnum, 7.62x39 etc etc..?
Yeah and if you read the award date for the contract and procurement it is from 2010..... almost 3 years ago.... old info, not current at all

I was talking with one of my very close friends from the Border Patrol days. He was questioning why the government was stock piling such large inventories of ammunition?
He said the Immigration Service Agents are now only allowed 200 rounds per quarter for practice.

customammo72 ......

I provided a dozen or more links on that government purchasing site. Their total now is over 2 billion rounds of non-military calibers. What do you really think they are planning to do with all of those hollow points?

Oh no don't get me wrong I wasn't trying to defend them in any way or argue with you, I was just making point of that link that it was from 2010... Hell I know they have been stockpiling like this for many years now, it's nothing new... as far as what they are gonna do with all that??? Hell a revolution is coming in this country and they know it, they are trying to keep it from happening if they can, they even bought 2,717 armored vehicles we used overseas and outfitted them to run on the civilian roads here in the states... wonder why??? People need to wake up and see the truth... Sorry didn't mean to make it sound like I was arguing with what you had to say or defend our communist government..... I am all for taking the sorry government down, it's time

Oh and they have no other motive to buy up calibers for weapons the government doesn't even use or have then to keep it out of civilian hands and also then when they take our guns from us they then have the ammo to use them against us....

As far as the hollow points thing goes, I am a Federal LEO and we do use hollow points in our weapons as duty ammunition.... but we practice with FMJ so... yeah.... The only reason I see for the hollow points once again is to keep it out of civilian hands and to arm all Federal LEO's/etc to fight... except for this guy, I am not supporting our government no matter what my job title is.....
