Not much to see in my Zombie Kit.

Just a long tire iron, and a sharp machete...

You guys are all going into Zombie-hunting armed LIGHT...let my Avatar pic show you the way!!

What you all really need is Two Calico Liberty III-Tactical pistols for sidearms with the 100-rd mags, & add a pair of green viridian lasers...

and a Calico Liberty I Tactical Carbine with 100 rd mags...& add a red dot or scope...

With the twin 9mm pistols & green lasers, you can pretty much WALK thru a crowd of zombies, giving them nice headshots...
with the carbine, you zap 'em from 25-100+ yards...clearing your path as you go.

With an Tactical Vest fulla 100-rd mags...reloads are a Snap!!
You can LITERALLY Shoot until you are too tired to reload

those are the first pics ive seen depicting those 2 firearms in a non-over incredibly gay 80's sci-fi b-movie flick kind of way.

I'm not a big zombie, end of the world but sometimes it's fun the imagine.

Primary - AR15 in 5.56 - lightweight profile 14.5" barrel, lightweight rail, Aimpoint micro RDS, and light slinging 69+ grain hollows

Secondary - M&P9L - Trijicon RMR - hollows as well

I would even consider a Saiga 12 as a primary. Shotguns are fast on target but slow to reload. The Saiga 12 could be the remedy.

You would want to lay low and stay off the map so magnified optics would be heavy and a waste.

You also need to remember the living. They would represent the greatest threat.

big shrek might be right.
You can carry 2 or 3 times as many 9mm as you could .223.
All you have to do is get through 1 skull wall and you don't need to shoot further than 100 yards.

I'm considering the 12ga and thinking something in 9mm would be better.
Laser is a good idea. maybe better than a red dot.

All the zombie books say that a shotty is good for nothing except knocking the zombies down, unless a pellet happens to penetrate the brain.

I look at how bulky the ammo for a shotgun is. That's why I consider them ONLY for home defense, hunting, and sport. I will never choose one as a survival weapon in any scenario. I love shotguns, got my Mossberg 500 12 gauge from my mom for Christmas when I was 9 (I was a big kid), but I feel the ammo is just too stinkin bulky to tote any abundance of it. I used to go dove hunting with at least 4 boxes of ammo, would only shoot usually 2 boxes but I carried extra just in case, but without a tactical type vest or some such set up specifically for shotgun shells, you have to do as I did, and carry them in a bucket. On the plus side, as I found out, if you turn the bucket upside down it makes a good seat.

Just looking at the weight of all these setups makes my

lumbar ache.

Aren't lazers and lights going to attract the zed?

I'm anti-laser (unless it's an IR laser) but a light is a good thing. You must not forget about the desperate people you will encounter.
