Default Youth .30-30

I have a friend who asked me a question that I can't answer, so I am going to ask here. Does anyone know of/heard of a youth model 30-30. He Is looking to buy one for his wife for CHRISTmas. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Well, H&R DOES make the Handi-rifle (a single shot) in a number of calibers- including 30-30, but the youth model is in .243 and 7mm/08.

Don't know what his budget is, but IMHO, the Marlin 336 is the best 30-30 rifle made (lever action). A decent gunsmith should be able to shorten the stock to fit her. Recoil is manageable by small framed person, Leverlution ammo gives it a decent range, easy to mount scope (side eject), and will plant a deer in a NY minute.
