You are correct, in a way. The Winter war was over by March 1940, so if it is SA stamped, it is a fake. The Soviets had bigger fish to fry. I think you are getting ahead of the subject. You can only find the true origin of the receiver by checking the cross bolt block or tang, both under the wood. It is still a $89.00 rifle.
