ShagNasty,There aren't really any bad main stream rifles out there today.
Some have been hit with some quality issue's,and others with bad customer service issue's,but almost any new rifle made will shoot 1moa out of the box with quality ammo.
Just find one that fits you and your price range, put some decent glass on it,and you should have a very good shooting rifle.

Well I went to check out the marlin too and while I did like it, there was just something about that X-Bolt that I loved along with a Tikka T3 that I looked at. I loved the feel of the Browning but the bolt of the Tikka and how smooth it was. I think I'm going to spring on which ever I can find a good deal on (my LGS is slightly high in prices compared to some of the others and online)

I'll toss my experience vote to savage but have also heard many good things about Tikka and read good magazine reviews on the X-bolt.
