My dad just got me a Mosin and I was wondering where I could get a good scope for it. I'm still deciding if I want it to be authentic or not but just a good power scope would do

For a rifle as cheap as a Mosin, check out the NcStar scopes. They are also cheap and the one that I have works.

My advice to you would be to shoot it like the soldiers who carried it shot it. Iron sights don't crack, don't fog and when set, they don't lie.

Mosins are not super scope friendly unless you already have one that was set up as a sniper rifle. The military sniper rifles were picked from production rifles that showed better accuracy and then the receivers and stocks were modified to accept a scope. The WW2 scopes were low power and small as far as diameter goes and dud not have the best light transmission or clarity. Functional, yes, but not spectacular.

If you want a properly scoped one save up and find one of the snipers that had a scope with it.

What year is the rifle? Arsenal? Depending on the arsenal and year made it could be a low wall and not compatable w/ a side mount.
