Wolf .30 Carbine ammo
Has anyone use Wolf .30 Carbine ammo? I have used Wolf's AK/AR and not had a problem. They even have some for .308. I hear that the .30 Carbine and the .308 ammo from Wolf is very dirty? Never noticed the diffence with my other rifle ammo.
How does Wolf ammo compare to Herter's ammo. All I know about Herter's ammo is that it is Russian. Here in my small home town we have one gun shop and all he has is Wolf ammo. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |
Personally, I wouldn't use it in an M1 Carbine because of the steel case.

I run Ruski steel case ammo in my 5.56 AR and my 7.62x39 AK with no issues.
I tried a box of Wolf 30 cal in my Ruger Blackhawk and it refused to work! The steel case hangs in the cylinder and is next to impossible to eject. Brass, most any, no problemo. I can't attest to how it functions in an auto-loader. |
I don't use it, my mosins bolt sticks with it, I always use bear.

I wish we had Bear here. But like I said all he stocks is Wolf, and being the only gun shop in town it gives me very little choice. I saw a great deal on .30 Carbine Wolf ammo in Cabelas.

I ran a couple thousand rds of Wolf .30 Carbine through two M1 Carbines, and had no issues.
