Default Winchester Value?

Hello, i was wondering if someone could help me out and figure out what year my gun is and the value. I am looking to get rid of a few guns in my collection to get some new ones in and im interested in selling this gun, any help would be appreciated. it is a winchester model 88 .308 lever action, it has a redfield scope, and the only markings i can find on it are the number 1614 on the barrel.

Slim,

Your Winchester Model 88 was produced in 1955. I believe that was the first year of production for this rifle. The scope you can figure + $$$ yourself but it is my opinion that the rifle itself also being a Pre-64 Winchester Model would be worth a minimum of around $700+ in the condition it looks to be in your pictures.
Real Nice Rifle!

Most often it is better to sell the scope separate from the rifle for maximum profit.

Most of the time,a scope such as that will not increase the value of the rifle at all.
That is a nice ole' Winchester 88,you should have no problem selling it.
