I still have the first rifle I bought, a Model 94. It still looks and shoots great after 40 years. I can't imagine not having one of these rifles. They will always be fun to shoot.

here, It is a win 94, NOT an 1894 mdl. as i stated earlier. My mistake. This may help explain why 2bit jumped all over it.

the scope mounted towards the back works for me. also, i had removed the 4-16x42 scope and forgotten about it. that scope is now on a Marlin 60.
This scope is a 4x32. it has been setting since early last year when i bought several rifles and swapped scopes around on them all.
Anyways, This scope mount is solid and does not ruin the value. Serial# 36969xx- Thanks.

I just can't get used to seeing a scope on a Model 94. The Win 94 just seems like a natural iron sights gun. It has some of the best sights I have ever shot with.

I stated that my eyes were getting bad. The scope allows me to put my shots touching at 100yards- something You'll rarely do with iron sights. It looks odd for sure , but I have my reasons. These rifles shoot better than most people think. The barrel is very good on mine. I understand where you guys are coming from and if you ever mount a scope on a 94 you will likely find it very beneficial.

I have been shooting 94 Winchesters for over 50 years. You must have a 1 of 1,000 shooting a saddle carbine at 100 yds under 1"?

no sir, it is a standard Win 94 . IF YOU ADD A SCOPE you will be able to shoot farther, more accurately. I have NO trouble with groups in an inch. They are very accurate if you can see what you are shooting at.

Does anyone know anything about the cowboy commerative m94 winchester made its all nickel plated cabelas had a used one for 400 is this a good deal bore and action look great

The Winchester 94 is not a sniper rifle.
