How old?
I bought a 94 trapper in .357 a couple of years ago. I traded it in less than 3 months later for a 200 dollar loss on a SxS shotgun. The loss was worth it to me to get rid of such a poorly made firearm. I personally, and from that experience, advise against any Winchester made recently. It was so poorly made that working the action could cause the springs to dislodge.
Also check on the Retail for that gun. I don't remember them being much more than 400 new.
I'm not sure on the age of the gun. It has the cross bolt safety. The gun really is in pristine condition and has a nice dark color stock . I'm not that familiar with lever guns other than the Marlin 336 sc my dad left me, but thought it would be a nice addition for the gun safe.
Not too sure about the current prices. I have a trapper AE in 44mag and I love it. Use it for brush hunting hogs here in Texas. It's quick handling, pretty accurate for my uses and I have never had any kind of malfunction with mine. It's one of my favorites.
