Default Winchester 1894 30-30 what a blast

I can see why so many have been produced. In 38 years I've never had a chance to fire one until today. Wow, what a truly fun weapon to use. I am extremely happy with this purchase. The action was elegant, the firing smooth, a very very sexy weapon to fire. I was extremely impressed with how natural firing a lever action feels... It must from all of the old westerns I watched with my grandfather growing up.

I have the carbine version (but there are other things that are more sexy than a firearm.)

Yep, they're pretty awesome.

Is yours a pre-64 or a stamped model?

I had one years ago, it was just to small for me. I found the 1892 a little bigger and a better fit. Nice little rifles. They are just not made for big people.

Yup, there's nothing like a lever gun.

Unfortunately I have an 8 where the 6 should be. Meaning it's not quite the pre 64 but not quite the junk that was being made for awhile especially right after 64.

I got one of those dad gave it to me when I turned 18, he had a scope mount on the side of the gun. Don't work too good after about 100 yards via x axisl, love the round good hard hitting round. Took my first deer and hog with it.

I'll take the report from my 5904 and my twin cam 96b any day over the ridiculous amount of noise what you're talking about makes.
