Default Why do I want an M94 Swedish Mauser Carbine?

I can't seem to help myself. Ever since I saw one at the shop I've been wanting one. I know they're accurate, but it would be an oddball and expensive caliber to stock up on. Would the M96 be more practical? Are the M94's worth the extra money and hassle of even finding one?

So, please talk me out of it or tell me why I should start putting away my pennies for one.

If, and I do mean if one showed up for under $400.00 that was matching and pristine, I would grab it. I will say the M96 and M38 are great rifles also. Once in a while you can find one in a shop that has no clue as to what it is. I grabbed my last M96 for $280.00. All matching and had an original Hoyt 1907 sling on it. The sling is worth $75.00 alone. Samco still has surplus ammo. It is no more expensive than other calibers.
Better be careful, the Swede bug is very addictive. I have 3 commercial Swede hunters besides my M41b, M96's, and M38's.
6.5x55 is very easy to reload for, that being said the other Swede flavors are great also...8x57 & 9.3x57

M38 is also a Swede Carbine. Converted M96's still retain strait bolt, Husqvarna made M38's have a bent bolt. The sights for the M38 are graduated from 100 to 800 yards.

You want a M94 Swede because you have a deep inner need for it. Get one as soon as you escape California and change your name to OR357.
