Trigger on my new Vanguard S2 tested - check (~ 2.75 lbs). Barrel broken in per manufacturers recommendations - check. Scope zeroed at 100 yards - check. Despite my utter dearth of shooting skills due to lack of practice the rifle shot just over one inch groups with factory ammo. After I practice some more and find the right ammo, she'll be shooting under one inch, as advertised. So far the Vanguard is working out great.

During my next trip to the range I'll find out what ammo she likes best and practice the most likely shooting positions for my hunt - sitting with a rest, standing, standing with a vertical rest and kneeling.

The rifle is zeroed. Now I need to determine what ammo she likes and practice to improve my very rusty skills.

My youngest son just passed hunter safety. Will be the two of us in a cabin in Northern Minnesota, 30-06 Remys in hand. Nothing can beat that!
