Default Who's Ready For Deer Season?

Ok, who's ready and what are you using?

I'm starting Oct. 1 with a .50 cal Knight smoke pole. For rifle season I'm using a Remington 5R .308 for open areas, and a No1 MkIII* .303 British in the woods and swamps.

Me and a friend replanted a food plot and killed all the wasps in the stands last weekend. And he killed a little cotton mouth in one of the stands (glad that one is gone).

I've got to finish loading some hunting rounds this week and check my scopes this coming weekend. After that it'll be time to pull out all of the old hunting gear.

Only 3 1/2 weeks left for me. So who else is ready, or almost!!!

So ready. Starting with my Mathews bow. Then I am using my Custom Rem 700 260 cal. Going to stretch it out to 1,000 yards. Get some back straps on the ground

It's finally going to drop under 100 degree's this weekend,so I'll get out my crossbow and make sure everything is ready to go. Archery season starts at the end of September.
My 25/06 and 308 are always ready, and if I get some loads worked up for the new 7mm/08 I just built,it'll get a chance to take it's first blood this year.

I sadly have not got around to renewing my license yet. Already missed the first turkey season. I really need to get it before pheasant season. I'll be so pissed off getting up at 4 am and stocking pheasants and then going home empty handed.
