.280 is. Nice as well but still can't leave my 25-06 in the safe long at all.

I've got three. AR-14 M4, Model 94 Winchester .30-30, and probably my true favorite fun gun, the old No.1,mk111 Enfield. (Mine's an Australian Lithgow.)

Ya a friend of mine has a 25-06. He uses it for everything. He even smokes coyotes at insane ranges with the thing. It's definitely a shooter although I know his shooting ability helps.

I've got many rifles, but for some reason I enjoy shooting my special ordered Winchester model 1892 44-40 Trapper with 17 1/2" barrel, mfg 1898. It's in near new condition, but because of high value I shoot it on very rare occasions. Because of it's size and calibre it's like a toy. Besides, shooting something that you don't know historically where it's been makes it even more interesting.

my Winchester 74 .22 semi. it holds 14 rounds, it shoulders & points naturally, & if i feel the need, i can rattle all 14 of those off in a blink or 2 of an eye & still keep 'em pretty close together.

I have to agree about shooting my Winchester 62 .22. It's relaxing, accurate and shoots on and on cheaply. Nice feeling like a kid again shoot'n .22's.

That's a tough question?

I like and appreciate all of them from my rimfires,to the semi auto centerfires 5.56s and 308. I'm probably most addicted to smooth accurate bolt actions 22-250 rem, 6mm rem, 7mm-08 rem, 280 rem, 308 win, 30-06 springfield, and 7mm rem mag.

IMHO Doesn't get much better than a good accurate bolt action in a bean field whitetailin'

I must agree with the riflemen who choose the 25-06. I have had one before Remington claimed the old .25 Niedner as there own. Yes, it will take wolves out to unreal ranges. As they say that old .25-06 shoots flatter than a bookeepers a$$.
