I'd rather my own son see me die on my feet as a free man, than watch him go, broken, into slavery.

If it's a Tula, I would happily give $200. If I had it to spare. Heh, it really probably ain't worth that much, but I'm always willing to pay a little more for what I really like.

Did they ever bipod those in WWII?

You can see through the JMECK. You don't have to drill and tap either.

Would you rather have a trucked out 69 pick up, or one that is rusted over?!?!?
Just screwing with you. X-D

My philosophy exactly... if I want something I want it... it isn't always about dollars and cents but it usually is...

Yes, that should work. Find a decent scope on a sporting goods, or Walmart website, and either order it, or pick it up in-store.

Check out this video on YouTube:
Bassett machine.com makes a mount I needed for my m1a. I don't know of other rifle mounts. The leatherwood scope in this utube vid I've used on my ar15. Recently bought the m1200 leatherwood ART SCOPE FOR MY m1a. It's no math. Watch this vid. I paid 475$ for the m1200. The m1000 goes for about 385$.
